Registration is now open for the first annual Charity Chess Championship Tournament which will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 in New York City, with all net proceeds being donated to pediatric cancer research. Please Register Early!
Charity Chess Championship Tournament
Sunday, May 21, 2017, 8:30am-5:00pm
Park Avenue Synagogue - Lower Level
50 East 87th Street (at Madison Avenue)

There will be three primary events:
3 ROUND USCF-RATED QUADS / GAME 45, D/5
Open to both adults and children. Players will be paired in quads of 4, starting with 4 highest registered players based on their published USCF rating and continuing down. The 1st round will start at 9AM sharp! Check-in at 8:45am, approximate end time 2:30pm. PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE. The winner of the highest-rated Quad will receive automatic entry in to our Grandmaster Blitz Tournament.

Registration for Quads is limited to the first 150 Registrants - Registration Fee is $45
Please bring your own chess clock if you have one and score pads. Boards and pieces supplied. USCF (United States Chess Federation) Membership is required. No byes permitted.
GRANDMASTER TANDEM SIMUL:
Tandem Simul with GM Robert Hess & GM Marc Arnold. Two of the top players in the US will be taking on all comers in an exhibition of their chess prowess! Do you have what it takes to upset them? The Simul is open for anyone to play. Registration fee is $45. Starts at 11:00am sharp. Approximate end time is 1:00pm.

Would you like to play in the Grandmaster Blitz tournament? We will be auctioning off four wildcard spots in our Silent Auction! In addition, the winner of the highest-rated Quad will receive automatic entry into the GM Blitz tournament. The GM blitz tournament will start at 2:30pm and the format is 7-Round, Swiss-System. 3 minutes/with 2 minute increment. USCF Blitz-Rated.
Even if you don't play chess, please consider coming by our charity chess event. There are a lot of great silent auction and raffle items and we are raising money for an important cause - supporting Band of Parents, an organization dedicated to funding new therapies for Neuroblastoma, the most common cancer in children under 2 years of age.
